Frequently asked questions.

What is fascia?

Fascia is a type of connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, organs, nerves, and blood vessels throughout the body. It is a continuous, web-like structure made primarily of collagen, and it plays a crucial role in maintaining the body's structural integrity and function. Fascia can be thought of as the body's internal "scaffolding," holding everything in place while allowing for flexibility and movement.

What can I expect from a yoga myofascial release treatment?

A 1-2-1 yoga myofascial release treatment is a personalised session designed to address specific areas of tension, discomfort, or restricted movement in the body. Combining elements of yoga and myofascial release techniques, this treatment aims to release tension held within the fascia.

The session typically begins with a consultation to discuss any areas of concern or goals for the session. In our first session we will assess your posture, movement patterns, and areas of tension to tailor the treatment accordingly.

Emphasis is placed on breath awareness and mindfulness, encouraging the client to connect with their breath and body sensations. This mindful approach helps to deepen the release of tension and promotes a sense of relaxation and inner awareness.

The session concludes with a period of relaxation or meditation, allowing you  to fully integrate the benefits of the treatment and leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more in tune with your body.

How much is a session?

Each session is £60 and is delivered in the Zen Flow Yoga Therapy room in Letchworth Garden City. The session will last 60 minutes and at the end of the session you will be given a detailed plan on how to practice myofascial release for yourself at home.
